The E31A – Spouse of Indonesian Citizen Visa is a visa category for foreign nationals who are married to an Indonesian citizen (WNI, Warga Negara Indonesia) and wish to live in Indonesia. This visa allows the foreign spouse to stay in Indonesia for an extended period and provides a pathway for them to live and work in the country without the need for a separate work permit.
Spouse of Indonesian Citizen Visa (E31A) granted to foreign nationals married to Indonesian citizens and the marriage must be officially registered in Indonesia with a Marriage Book or a Marriage Certificate from Civil Registration Office based on Indonesian spouse domicile. Spouse of Indonesian Citizen KITAS holders are not allowed to work in Indonesia or receive income from Indonesian companies but they can apply for Working Permit under Indonesian company who hire them to work and required to pay monthly contributions USD 100/month in the DKP-TKA (Development Funds in Exchange of hiring a foreign worker)
