Digital Nomads and Remote Workers in Bali
The Remote Worker KITAS / Visa is a great way to legalize your stay in Bali while you live in Bali and work for a company abroad. Only Digital Nomads and Remote Workers who want to live and work in Bali (Indonesia) while being employed by a company outside of Indonesia can apply for the E33G KITAS Remote Worker Visa.

In response to the growing trend of people opting for the remote worker and digital nomad lifestyle, the Indonesian Immigration Department has introduced a new “Remote Worker Visa (E33G), Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS)
These are the two main Requirements for the Remote Workers Visa:
- Employment Contract (with a company registered outside of Indonesia)
- Yearly income of at least USD 60,000
With Remote Worker Visa you can:
- Carry out assignments from overseas company.
- Bring eligible family to live in Indonesia.
With Remote Worker Visa you can NOT:
- Staying in Indonesia over the period of your stay permit, engaging in prohibited activities, not complying with visa conditions, and/or not complying with Indonesian laws may result in you paying fines, being deported, and/or other legal charges.
- Selling goods or services.
- Working by receiving compensation, wages, or any similar from individuals or companies in Indonesia.
Document Requirement:
- Passport valid for at least 18 (eighteen) months.
- Personal bank statement with minimum amount USD $5000 or equivalent the last 3 months period (including name, date of period, and balance account).
- Bank account that proves income in the form of salary or income worth at least US$60,000 per year.
- Employment contract with a company established outside the Indonesian Territory.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Business Travel Itinerary
- A recent color photograph
- Address in Bali
Visa Validity:
- This visa must be used to enter Indonesia within a maximum of 90 days from the date of issue
