TRAVEL TO BALI RIGHT NOW! – Everything you need to know!

Travel to Bali right now as a New regulation released Tuesday 1st February 2022 has reduced mandatory quarantine to 5 days.

In other regulations, the Government of Indonesia has decided to lift restrictions on the entry of foreign tourists to Bali and the Riau Islands. Previously, only 19 countries could be granted a Visit Visa with the purpose of tourism to visit Bali and Riau Islands. Travellers from other countries needed to have the B211 visa with a different reason for travel.

The Sub-Coordinator of Public Relations of the Directorate General of Immigration, Achmad Nur Saleh, emphasized that immigration provisions for tourist visits to Bali and Riau Islands require foreigners to have a visit visa.

“Tourism in Bali and Riau Islands has been opened to all foreign tourists. Foreign travellers must apply for a B211A Tourist Visit Visa with a travel company guarantor, not an individual,” he said.

In addition to being required to have a passport and visa, foreigners are required to have:

  1. a complete dose of Covid-19 vaccination certificate
  2. RT-PCR test results
  3. proof of ownership of health insurance with an insured value of 25,000 USD
  4. proof of accommodation payment confirmation while in Bali.

“It should also be remembered that they are also required to undergo quarantine according to the provisions of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force,” said Achmad.

For the entry gate for foreign tourists, Achmad explained, according to the provisions of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, only 2 (two) airports were allowed, namely Bali and the Riau Islands.

For some the idea of isolation for 5 days is a nightmare, for others it is a joy! We would recommend downloading a streaming service such as NetFlix, or bringing some books, games, hobbies or even a yoga mat. Some hotels will lend you some gym equipment, so if you want to stay in shape, ask the hotel prior to arriving if they will lend you some fitness equipment for the duration of your stay.
